One boy’s dream. One stage. One unforgettable wish.

We had the immense privilege of photographing a wish come true for Make-A-Wish UK — a little boy who dreamed of becoming Freddie Mercury for a day.

Dressed in full Queen regalia, he took centre stage at the Albert Hall in Llandrindod Wells, performing with a live Queen tribute band in front of an audience of cheering family, friends, and fans. The energy in the room was electric — full of joy, awe, and emotion.

Our job was to quietly capture the magic as it unfolded: the backstage nerves, the spotlight moment, the standing ovation. Every frame told a story of courage, music, and a community coming together to create something unforgettable.

Out of respect for the family, we’ve chosen not to share images of the young performer — his moment is his moment. Instead, we’re sharing a glimpse of the band and the atmosphere that made the day so extraordinary.

It was more than a performance.
It was a memory that will live forever — and we’re honoured to have helped preserve it.
